Canucks lock in Jamie Oleksiak for two years, $10M

The Vancouver Canucks signed defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to a two-year contract worth $10 million on July 1, 2024. Oleksiak, a 6-foot-7 veteran with 14 NHL seasons under his belt, arrives from the Seattle Kraken to bolster a rebuilding Canucks blue line. The 758-game defenseman has produced 45 goals and 116 assists across his career, including five seasons in Seattle where he logged 287 games and 24 points.
