Shadab Khan Powers Lancashire Past Derbyshire in T20 Blast
Shadab Khan’s blistering 58 and three wickets drag Lancashire to a narrow 4-run victory over Derbyshire.

Shadab Khan arrived at Lancashire and immediately delivered a match-winning performance, combining brutal batting with disciplined bowling to secure a tense 4-run victory over Derbyshire in the T20 Blast. Fresh from a National T20 Cup triumph, the Pakistani all-rounder replaced the injured Chris Green and dismantled the Derbyshire attack with a blistering 58 off just 22 deliveries. His innings provided the acceleration Lancashire desperately needed, transforming a steady start into a formidable total.
Khan’s aggression was complemented by a crucial 66-run partnership with Ben McDermott, which propelled the visitors to a commanding 205 runs. Despite the imposing target, Derbyshire fought hard, with Aneurin Donald launching a counter-attack that saw him score 88 runs and nearly pull off an upset. The match hung in the balance until the final overs, but Khan returned with the ball to rip through the middle order.
