Panathinaikos made an ideal start to their preparation, dominating Helmond Sport 4-0 in the first friendly match they organized. Nistrup's team left no room for doubt, playing aggressively and fully controlling the pace in a match that marked the team's debut for the new season and showed the first signs of the new technical leadership. The score was opened early by Tábora, who found the net just in the 12th minute and gave the "greens" the lead, showing he is in excellent playing condition.
The rest was even more impressive, as Tetê increased the score to 2-0 in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error from the opposition following a quick counterattack.
