Mexican supporters’ “whistle” obstruction, South Korean media harshly criticizes
During the second round of World Cup Group A, in which the South Korean national team lost 0-1, Sports Korea reported that an attack was disrupted by a sound that could be mistaken for a referee's whistle by Mexican supporters, leading to a fair play issue.

During the South Korean national team's 1-0 loss to Mexico in the second round of Group A of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, South Korean media outlet ``Sports Korea'' criticized Mexican spectators for continuing to blow their whistles during South Korea's attack. The media pointed out that the spectators intentionally used a high-pitched whistle that was difficult to distinguish from the referee's whistle, confusing the players. They strongly condemn this act as undermining fair play.
