Jalen Brunson is an American professional basketball point guard for the New York Knicks of the NBA. Born on August 31, 1996, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Brunson has emerged as one of the premier floor generals in professional basketball. After an outstanding college career at Villanova University, where he won two NCAA championships in 2016 and 2018 and earned Big East Player of the Year honors, he was selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks. After four seasons with Dallas, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2022, Brunson signed with his hometown Knicks in July 2023. He has since established himself as the franchise cornerstone, earning NBA All-Star selections in 2023 and 2024 while leading the Knicks to consecutive playoff appearances. Brunson is the son of former NBA player and coach Rick Brunson, following in his father's footsteps as a dynamic playmaker with exceptional basketball IQ, scoring ability, and leadership on the court.
